Mob Limits

Limits on Large Groups of Mobs.

To optimize server performance, large clusters of mobs are regulated.
Entities are not limited per chunk but are limited by their group (see below).
Groups of mobs that exceed the limit are periodically identified and culled,
exempting those with special characteristics like being a custom mob or tamed.
When a mob is removed, you will see a smoke effect.

Mob limits:
Armorstands (Armor Stand): 30 within a 10 block radius
Xporb (Experience Orb): 50 within a 3 block radius
Items (Item): 500 within a 2 block radius
Hanging (Painting, Glow Item Frame, Leash Knot, Item Frame): 800 within a 2 block radius
Projectiles (Snowball, Potion, Arrow, Spectral Arrow, Egg, Trident, Small Fireball, Experience Bottle, Firework Rocket, Llama Spit, Wither Skull, Wind Charge, Fireball, Fishing Bobber, Shulker Bullet, Breeze Wind Charge, Ender Pearl, Dragon Fireball): 35 within a 5 block radius
Bosses (Wither, Warden): 5 within a 15 block radius
Laggyvillagers (Pillager, Wandering Trader, Villager): 18 within a 5 block radius
Farmable (Camel, Sheep, Trader Llama, Cat, Hoglin, Sniffer, Frog, Cow, Rabbit, Skeleton Horse, Llama, Polar Bear, Mule, Axolotl, Zombie Horse, Mooshroom, Parrot, Magma Cube, Strider, Shulker, Fox, Turtle, Snow Golem, Panda, Ocelot, Slime, Chicken, Iron Golem, Horse, Armadillo, Wolf, Bee, Pig, Donkey, Goat): 15 within a 5 block radius
Monsters (Wither Skeleton, Ravager, Drowned, Spider, Evoker, Guardian, Illusioner, Enderman, Bogged, Zombie Villager, Silverfish, Blaze, Elder Guardian, Vex, Witch, Vindicator, Zombie, Creeper, Giant, Stray, Breeze, Piglin Brute, Skeleton, Cave Spider, Husk, Zombified Piglin, Zoglin, Endermite, Piglin): 15 within a 5 block radius
Watermobs (Salmon, Tadpole, Dolphin, Pufferfish, Cod, Tropical Fish, Glow Squid, Squid): 10 within a 5 block radius
Mobs (Phantom, Allay, Ghast, Bat): 30 within a 5 block radius
Fallingblock (Falling Block): 30 within a 5 block radius
Explosive (Tnt, End Crystal): 30 within a 5 block radius
Vehicles (Furnace Minecart, Spawner Minecart, Boat, Minecart, Command Block Minecart, Chest Boat, Tnt Minecart, Hopper Minecart, Chest Minecart): 20 within a 5 block radius
